i get them too and my armpits sometimes get really red and inflamed. i just tweeze now. make sure you shave in the direction of hair growth and use a nice shaving gel!

I think it’s just hair that’s growing back but has not come through the skin yet. I get it when shaving under my arms. Like pandaphilia said, just shave in the right direction and it should keep the black dots to a minimum.

To sort out ingrowing hairs exfoliate regularly. There are scrubs you can get but I just use exfoliating gloves (mine are from the Body Shop but it’s certainly not the only place you can get them) with my usual soap, and that has the added bonus of being a one time payment.

I don’t like to shave a lot, if I really need to, then I’ll do it. Otherwise, I prefer not to.

yeah i shave regularly. and put on some products to keep my skin moist and prevent the shaved mark. aloe vera and shea butter are the best. and oh, dont forget to scrub it. try satsuma from body shop, smells lovely and leave your skin glow too.
