I tend to be someone who really appreciates a good process – I love cooking, editing film by hand, making coffee with a french press….and the same goes for my hair. I prefer the process of teasing it myself to my desired poofiness. That and I’ve always thought bumpits were just kind of silly. However, I gave in to curiosity recently and bought one. I figured it was worth a try as teasing my hair all of the time definitely leads to damage. After reading the directions I was disappointed to find out it still required teasing anyway! I stuck with it, but it hardly made any difference in the height of my hair. All it managed to do was get really tangled and caused a lot of pain when I tried to get it out. Should have stuck to my normal teasing process!

What do you ladies think?

Nay. Because you could always use different techniques to get the ‘Bumpit’ look. You could straighten your hair towards you face or dragging it to your face instead of just down. Or instead of straightening it, you could blow dry your hair. But if you wanted a pompadour, you could check out some Youtube videos.

Nay. I just think it’s really bizarre to put a piece of plastic in your hair when you could always just tease it

Nay for me as well! I tried it out too, but I think it takes a lot of thick hair to hide the bumpit which I am not blessed with.

I’ve managed to use bobby pins to give me an elegant pouf without teasing my hair.
